olive oil 2 - 4 lbs sweet Italian sausage, casing removed, chopped 2 med onions, chopped 12 cloves garlic, minced serrano peppers, seeded and minced oregano basil marjoram 24 oz beer 1 lb cooked black beans 1 lb cooked white beans
If using canned beans, drain and rinse them before putting them in the pot.
You can use dried red pepper flakes instead of fresh serranos; if you do, add them with the rest of the spices (after the sausage is browned).
In a pinch you can make this with ground beef instead of sausage but it won’t taste as good.
